Canada Employment and Work Visa Package

The Government of Canada has introduced important changes to the Foreign Workers Visa routes with effect from1st November 2024. This changes imply tighter requirements for employment, Government approvals and Work Visas in 2025. In view of these changes, hiring Managers now require that Candidates fulfill all the necessary immigration requirements for a work Visa before making an employment offer. These requirements are as follows:
1) Background Check for Criminal and immigration records
2) Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 or higher in English or French Language tests
3) Foreign Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA) report, according to the minimum requirements stated for the Job and your CV
4) Professional Certification if the Job requires it.
If you already have a Canada Visitor's Visa, note that All work Visa applications must be made OUTSIDE Canada, not when you are already in Canada.
Please note that if you are qualified for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry, it is better for you to apply for PR directly as a skilled professional, If not, you can consider this route. The Government is more interested in welcoming Permanent Visa holders than Temporary Visa holders in 2025.
Our updated employment and work Visa package covers the above requirements in the first stage. In addition to this, foreign workers' Jobs are ONLY open to Candidates with at least 3 years Work Experience in the following fields. Note that our hiring Managers may request for Job references at any time.Please identify your area of training and experience before you send in your CV.
Management and Accounting: Accounting Technicians, Senior Accountants and Financial Analysts (ACCA or equivalent), Certified Project Managers, Supply Chain and Fleet Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Administrative Assistants, Human Resource Managers.
Medical and Health: Family Physicians, General Physicians, Specialist Physicians (Surgical), Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Pharmacists and Pharmacist Technicians, Personal Support Workers, Physiotherapists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Midwives, Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists, Radiologists, Medical Laboratory Equipment Specialists.
IT and Computing: Web Developers, Computer Programmers, Cybersecurity Specialists, Software Developers, Data Analysts, Computer Technicians- Repairs and Networking.
Engineering and Technical: Civil Engineers, Construction and Building Engineers and Technicians, Electrical Engineers and Technicians, Mechanical Engineers and Technicians, Engineering Contract Managers, Engineering Project Managers, Design Engineers and Architects.
Other Technical Fields: Transport Truck Drivers, Certified Chefs, Welders and other Machine Fabricators, Material Handlers, Harvesting and Farm Workers.
The stages of our application process , with duration and fees are as follows:
Stage 1: Employment requirements and Job Applications for Principal Applicant. Processing fees 2500 US Dollars.
This Stage fees will cover:
- IELTS registration
- IELTS online training
- IELTS in Class training (Lagos only)
- ECA reports
- Police Character Certificates
- Job Profiles and Applications
- Administrative fees for immigration approvals
- Other professional Certifications that may be required by the employer during the course of the application.
Average Processing time: 20 weeks
Stage 2: This stage will cover Work Visa Application for the Principal Applicant and Accompanying Family members. Processing fees:
1000 US Dollars (Main Applicant)
1200 US Dollars in addition for Spouse Visa application
700 Canadian Dollars per Child Dependent in the application
This Stage fees will cover:
- Work Permit Visa Application
- Spouse and Dependent Visa Application
- Spouse IELTS registration as now required for Work Permit
- Spouse Open work permit
- Medical Test fees
- Police Character Certification for Spouse
- All Visa fees
